After more than a year of planning and construction, Renown Health opened its Children’s Healing Garden to entertain and provide relaxation for patients and their families. The Waiting Room intended to be the access point to the Garden and an area from which parents can watch; has bright colored toys for tots, gaming and computers for teens and even comfortable seating for the parents. The Garden has kinetic horses, large insect and flower sculptures, soft fall surfacing under playground equipment and even a terraced trellis from which parents can watch their children play. Secured by a tall mural fence along the back wall; this area is a mini-Disneyland for patients, siblings and parents alike to come and enjoy.
